Soweto Un A Nutshell Overview

About The Author Mr. Isaac Khonjelwayo. This book is not about the entire history of Soweto, as it will not do justice to depict the true history and original face of Soweto. Rather it represents glimpses of its authentic strives and thrives, i.e. the heart-felt rhythms of its biological clock and a mixture of modern day blues of its uninterrupted transformation. It is about the plight and courage of a people that stood to fight for an ideal purpose in life. To learn to stand together united by a common goal to overcome adversity and challenges beyond limits defined by destiny of a political agenda through a sick system of government injustice.

My effort was to try and crystallize the important parables of its unique blend of human strength and integrity of character. In which, I want to paint the inner and outer kaleidoscope of my observations to unravel but the basic unending, yet intertwined mystery of its unfolding yet unlimited tapestry.
We live in an age and world of fast-paced technology and heavy fast-food addiction of pizza and coke, remotely controlled by a million choices of TV channels and desserts to satisfy our appetite for curiosity and instant gratification. All are but engrossed by instant weight loss. Instant ATM cash, instant sex, instant coffee, and dinner, instant love on the Net, and politics of day-to-day mishaps of illusions.
